A few updates
Clara had her 1 year appointment this week and weighed 20 lbs and was 28 1/4 inches tall. She is walking everywhere and loves to imitate us. She is able to sign for milk, more, and all done. She is crazy about dogs. Any picture, sound, or animal that looks like a dog gets a panting noise from Clara. We are having so much fun this summer hanging out.
Most of you know already but we are moving this summer. Eric and I both took jobs close to Brookfield, and all the grandparents! Eric is going to teach 6th grade Language Arts and coach football and track at Macon. I am going to teach Yearbook, Computer Applications, Desktop Publishing, and few other classes at Linn County Schools. We are very excited, but also getting worn out cleaning and packing our house.

Clara's First Birthday!
We were in Brookfield for almost a week so Eric could help Dad plant and for Clara's birthday party. Clara got a wagon for her birthday and while we were home she and I climbed to the top of grandpa's new grain bin. The last picture of Clara is from our camping trip with the Wilkins'. While it was raining Clara liked sticking her hand out of the tent to feel the rain.

On The Go
Clara's getting more confident in her walking. Unfortunately, she won't show off in front of people. She likes to make us look silly and just stand there when we set her down on the ground. :-)

Clara's New Challenge

Clara loves to sit inside this cardboard lid and play. Last night she figured out she could fit in a 9x13" pan. Maybe tonight we will try a 9x9". I told Eric we are going to look back at these pictures and not believe she was that small. Right now we think she is getting so big after seeing several newborns lately.

7 more days of school and 16 more days until Clara turns 1!
