Cute Clara

After Clara's bath last night I had to take a picture because she was so cute with her clean combed hair and pink stripes.

I also wanted show aunt Jenny how much we love our baby legs. Clara can scoot around everywhere and her pants don't get in the way.

I had to add this last picture. Clara gets tired of me hiding behind the computer screen, so she's figured out how to pull it down and get it out of the way.

Army Crawling

She is getting faster and more efficient every day! Clara was 9 months old yesterday, 3 more months until her first birthday!

New Discovery

I was cleaning Clara's room one day and I heard her behind me figure out how to make her block vibrate. When I turned around to look at her I saw she was using her mouth and not her hands.

Clara and Holden. . .Then and Now

About everyone that reads this blog knows Holden and Clara have been best buds from the beginning. Susan and I walked together almost every day last summer, with the kids in tow too.

Eric and I babysat last night while Holden's parents had parent teacher conferences. I don't know how parents of twins do it! I am amazed. I survived one night, but there is no way I could do that full time. Two diaper changes, two bottles, two naps. . .

The younger picture is the first time I watched both the kids. They were little then and slept most of the time! :-)

Cloth Diaper Experience

So Eric says Clara has a ghetto booty with her new cloth diapers on. It just looks that way in the picture because I doubled up the liners for her overnight diaper. I then had to change it about 10 minutes later because she pooped in it.

So far so good with the cloth diaper experience. I washed a load last night and when I opened the washer it smelled fresh and clean like all my research said it should. Otherwise, another wash would be necessary.

Thanks Susan! So far I'm on board, I just need to get a few more diapers so I don't run out of diapers every day! :-)

Pulling Up

Watch carefully it doesn't take her very long. :-)

We have a tooth--and a mover and shaker!

I might have told some of you already, but Clara's first bottom tooth FINALLY came in at 8 1/2 months old (February 12). Her second bottom tooth has partially come through also. I won't type much because Clara has been fascinated with the laptop lately and wants to bang on the keys.

She is also army crawling like crazy. Over the weekend Clara started sitting up from her back and has perfected sitting up from her belly. She is getting pretty good at pulling herself up on the couch and ottoman. She has also learned some new octaves in her squealing and loves to try them out! It is so much fun to see all the new things she can do.

I got on the blog to post new pictures and the camera battery died, so I'll post some new pictures this evening or tomorrow--and write about my first weekend with cloth diapers! :-)

Weekend Events

On Friday morning Eric called me after he dropped off Clara at the babysitter and said Clara was coughing A LOT and had a horrible runny nose. She had been having these issues for a while and it was finally enough to take her to the doctor. We got in at 11:45 on Friday and ended up having to use a nebulizer at the doctor and had to buy one to use for the next week. Clara also had an ear infection, which we had no idea. She never pulls her ear or fusses when she goes down to sleep so we had no clue. She's had and ear infection before, which we took her to the doctor for something else and they happened to find the ear infection. Clara is such a trooper though, she hasn't skipped a beat from being her happy self.

The pictures are from this weekend. Eric's parents were here on Saturday and we went to the park since it was so nice out. We also took Flat Stanley along, Lindsay I'll mail you the pictures this week. We put a bigger carseat in Eric's truck, of course Clara enjoyed playing in the box.

New Foods

Over the weekend I was bad and introduced more than one food to Clara. I let Clara try some grapes in her little food pouch/pacifier thing, no choking hazard, she can just get the juice out of the grapes. I also fed her some pumpkin mixed with yogurt-she scarfed that down!
