Weekend Fun

We travelled to Brookfield this weekend so we could see aunt Jenny, who was in from Colorado. We were also able to have a play date with Ryder, who is three weeks younger than Clara, but 5 pounds heavier! The first picture is of Clara and Ryder (me and Betsy) about 5 days before Clara was born.

Crawling

Clara is really improving her crawling skills, she doesn't army crawl much anymore. She is an especially speedy crawler when she spots the computer.

Bunny Ears

The ears stayed on Clara's head about .2 seconds before she pulled them off. They are too cute, but I don't think I will ever get a picture of her looking at the camera, smiling, with the ears. Oh well.

9 months

I was bored one day and tried to take some pictures of Clara, and I wanted some 9 month pictures and didn't have time to schedule an appointment to take Clara somewhere. This is about when she started scooting and crawling around so I didn't get many pictures because she kept crawling towards me.

The Past Week

The Bearcat shirt Clara has on says it is an 18 month shirt--her little belly pops out of the shirt at 9 months! Glad I tried it on her. Clara was in a goofy mood this morning before school and we had to take a few quicks pics. Go Bearcats-and we're glad to keep Coach T around for at least one more year!
Clara loves my laptop! As soon as it is open she stops what she is doing and crawls over to it. She likes to bang on the keyboard and pull the screen down. I had to restart the other day because she pushed so many buttons I didn't know how to correct everything she had messed up (Don't tell Scott our tech guy).
The other night Eric and I had lasagna for dinner and since it was Clara's bath night we decided to let her try some too. She liked it, but she made a mess!

Mira Starr Bonin

My roommate from college just had her first baby, Mira Starr Bonin, March 1! The first thing I said to Eric when I saw the picture was how beautiful Mira was. She was born by c-section. I didn't realize how much trauma babies go through when they are born naturally. I remember the big bruise on the top of Clara's cone-shaped head, her face and head swollen and puffy. Of course I thought she was beautiful anyway, but the pictures from the delivery room don't even look like her anymore.

Good luck Monte and Jordan! Can't wait to visit and see your beautiful Mira!
